New Jordan Consultancy starts March 15!

Sorry it’s been a while since I last wrote–amazing how hard it is to do anything else when you’re writing your dissertation!

Exciting news: I finished the dissertation in December, and have been working on publications (one out the door in the coming days) and job hunting. I’ve been offered an exciting opportunity to use the understandings I gained during my dissertation research to collaborate with Peace Corps in Jordan to develop a new water conservation curriculum and training initiative!

Considering that I started my international career with Peace Corps, an organization I still love to support, and that it will be applying all my recent work, I feel like my career is coming around full circle. I can’t wait to be in Jordan for the next three months.

I’m a DOCTOR now!

I’ve been completely wrapped up in completing analysis of my work, writing and defending my dissertation, and completing all the other logistics of the university. So now I can actually say I am a Doctor. Very proud. I’ll soon be back to blogging more often–especially about all the fascinating tools I’m finding for job hunting and publishing my work. Wish me luck!
